By using upgolab.com, creating an account or uploading a file you agree to these terms. Sections 4 to 6 set out your responsibility for what you upload; section 10 limits our liability. Updated: 01/11/2026.
1. Upload limits
The service upscales images (PNG or JPG, up to 4 MP) and MP4/MOV videos (H.264 or HEVC, including HDR video from iPhone) up to 30 seconds long per file, so every result comes back quickly.
2. Free launch period
During the launch period the service is free with no usage limit and is funded by the ads Google AdSense serves on the site. Each account processes up to 3 files at a time so everyone is served. You need a free account to download results. Going forward, free users keep seeing ads while paid plans carry additional system benefits and no ads; we will give notice before any paid plan applies.
3. Privacy & content security
Images and videos are processed for you and are not made public. Service infrastructure is used to process, store and deliver results. Originals and results are deleted automatically 24 hours after processing finishes for accounts, or 1 hour for guests. Signing up or signing in before the guest deadline extends retention to 24 hours from the original completion time; the clock does not restart. Job history and security logs are kept longer so you can review results and we can detect abuse, and they hold no file content. When you delete a file in the Library it is removed from storage immediately.
4. Your account
You keep your sign-in details secret and are responsible for activity that happens through your account. Do not share an account so others can bypass processing limits; one person, one account, and creating accounts to get around limits breaches these terms. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access so we can end sessions and act.
5. Content you upload
You keep all rights to the images and videos you upload and to the results. You confirm you hold the legal right to that content and to authorise its processing, including the rights of anyone appearing in it. We do not verify ownership, do not review content and accept no responsibility for what you upload or for how you use the result. If content breaks the law or someone else's rights, that responsibility is yours; we may refuse to process it, delete files and suspend the account when we find it or are lawfully asked to act.
6. Prohibited content and conduct
Do not upload content that breaks Vietnamese law, including pornography or prostitution; any sexual content involving children; content against the State, war propaganda, incitement to violence or hatred; harmful false information; content that defames or degrades someone; content that infringes intellectual property; or content you have no right to process. Do not use the service to attack, scan, exploit faults, bypass limits, automate at scale or reverse engineer the system. Breaches may lead to suspension and referral to a competent authority.
7. How we handle your files
We read a file only to perform the upscaling you asked for, check that its format is acceptable and work out the output size. Beyond that we do not exploit the content: no advertising use, no model training, no selling or sharing, no behavioural profiles. Files are erased on the schedule in section 3, and you can delete them in the Library at any time.
8. Intellectual property
The interface, trademarks and source code of upgolab.com belong to us. You may use your results for personal or commercial purposes without attribution. You may not copy, resell or build an equivalent service from our system. The upscaling technology and models may belong to third parties and carry their own licences where published.
9. Service availability
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will always be reachable, uninterrupted, free of faults, or that a result will meet a particular level of quality. Speed depends on video length, the mode you chose, system load and your connection. We may maintain, change features or pause the service and will give notice in advance where we can.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or lost business opportunity arising from use of the service. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event; during the free period that limit is zero. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you upload or from your breach of these terms. Nothing here excludes liability the law does not allow to be excluded.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account for a breach, to protect the system or other people, or when the law requires it; related files may be deleted. When an account ends, the sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability and governing law survive.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam, including the Law on Personal Data Protection No. 91/2025/QH15, Decree No. 356/2025/ND-CP on personal data protection and the Cybersecurity Law No. 116/2025/QH15. Disputes are settled by negotiation and, failing that, by a competent authority in Vietnam. Where the languages differ, the Vietnamese version prevails.
